Common Whitlowgrass is a fairly common but inconspicuous, low growing plant that often occurs in urban settings, in stony, dusty places, beside tarmac and roads, paving slabs, car parks and at the base of walls etc. so most people should manage to see it.
The plant is early flowering and can usually be seen from mid to late February onwards. A description of the plant, together with photographs, appears in the Wildflowers section of this website.
