Length 5 mm. A small brown hairy weevil, usually with a pale stripe down the mid-line of both pronotum and elytra.
Around Gorse and Broom.
Spring to Autumn.
Larvae live in the roots of Gorse and Broom.
Fairly common and widespread in Britain.
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 13 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
