Ceraclea nigronervosa

Description

Forewing length 8 to 13 mm. A rich darkish brown caddisfly with darker veined wings and very long antennae.

May to July.

UK Status

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

VC55 Status

Uncommon or under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland. It was first recorded in our area at Rutland Water 6th July 2013. The Sapcote record of 28th July 2014 is the second record for VC55.
