Melanelixia fuliginosa

Description

Thallus dark green/brown to blackish brown, shining at the margins, older parts becoming clothed with dense, velvety isidia.

Similar Species

Until recently, this was considered as subspecies with Melanelixia glabratulata which is similar. However M. glabratulata is more green than brown and has pale green shining margins.
