Description

Medium to tall plant, the stem hairs often purple based. Leaves deeply and narrowly cut. Flowers 40 to 60 mm solitary and usually rose pink, only occasionally white.

Perennial.

UK Status

Throughout Britain, but scarcer in the north and north Wales.

VC55 Status

Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland. In the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire it was found in 38 of the 617 tetrads.
