Getting There

The nearest road access to where the Welford Arm splits from the main canal is Mill Lane which joins the A4304 near Husbands Bosworth. At the terminal end, the canal is easily accessed from the village of Welford, where there are facilities available.

Description

At just 1.6km long, the Welford Arm transports you from the Leicester Line of the Grand Union Canal to the picturesque village of Welford. It lies just south of Husbands Bosworth and near to the county boundary.

Wildlife Highlights

This stretch of the canal supports numerous dragonflies and damselflies, including the uncommon White-legged Damselfly.
