City Nature Challenge Events

The City Nature Challenge in Leicester runs over four days with a programme of events across the whole city. You are welcome to join any of the public events listed below and most are free of charge. Booking is needed where stated, otherwise just turn up!

The daily 'CNC Base Camps' are at various locations around the city and offer the chance for the public to drop in and meet wildlife experts, find out about events and be shown how to use the iNaturalist app to add their own wildlife sightings. You can borrow equipment such as nets and pots to go collect bugs or wildflowers and bring these back to challenge the experts - a great activity for children and families.
