I think the term was used broadly just to indicate contrast - not doing the same thing all the time.
re: Yin and yang refers to nondualism.
'Yin and yang' refers to nondualism, it does not mean contrast.
Thanks for this thoughtful contribution Alan. I do understand that recording can be exhausting at times. My only constructive criticism regarding the shared article is that it is problematic to advocate terms like 'yin and yang' without providing the reader with the cultural context of such terminology. Transparency is essential when an attempt is being made to initiate the reader into adopting a philosophy or religion. If the reader chooses to believe in 'yin and yang' they are actually signing up to a larger belief system rooted in a number of cosmologies originating in the East such as Taoism, Buddhism and Hinduism.
