In the sunken stream running from the colony reservoir just before it reaches the walls of the house grounds on the edge of the water i found the following.

Specifically the plants with fleshy looking curled leaves that rise above the others and look like a flower in shape and may be unfurling and not in their final state

It's hard to judge scale but it looks rather like a Plagiothecium moss...

thanks for replies

was up there the following weekend but water level was down and no further growth so will have to check again in a couple of weeks
