Amphibians & Reptiles



Amphibians and reptiles are commonly grouped together as both groups are often studies by the same individuals and organisations. There are relatively few species in Britain and even fewer in Leicestershire and Rutland with just six native amphibians and four reptiles, though there a few known populations of exotic species.
