In the anamorphic stage, Dothidella ulmi develops under the epidermis, then produces blisters on the leaves of Elm – the stromata are 2 to 4 mm diameter, pulvinate, cracked, with colour between smoke-grey and mouse-grey.

Infrequent or under recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
