    We are constantly trying to improve the quality of records submitted by improving the advice we give. Most species on NatureSpot have what we refer to as a RAG Rating - Red-Amber-Green traffic lights. This is determined by how common the species is and how easy it is to identify. We've written more about this on the 'Identification and recording difficulty' page:

    We're also ramping up our recording advice, and this now appears as a pop-up on the Submit Records form once a species is selected:
