    It was on our front door (in Loughborough). Is it an adult or an immature cricket of some sort? The antennae were very long.

    Hi Margaret. It looks like a female Speckled Bush-cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima) and yes they have very long antennae and they are attracted to night lights.
