Reintroducing the Chequered Skipper to Rockingham Forest Virtual Meetup (Zoom)

    End time

    Virtual Meetup (Zoom)

This Field Studies Council online meeting will be led by Susannah O’Riordan who is the Butterfly Conservation Project Officer leading the Back from the Brink Roots of Rockingham project. In May 2018, the Chequered Skipper butterfly, extirpated from England in 1976, was reintroduced to Rockingham Forest in Northamptonshire by Butterfly Conservation as part of the National Lottery-funded ‘Back from the Brink’ project.  Find out more about the research, habitat management and logistics that went into reintroducing this charismatic butterfly back into the English landscape and discover how the project has been faring so far.
We’ll be using Zoom for this virtual meeting - we’ll send details on how to join to everyone who books a place on the day. Please note that you only need to book one space per device, even if several of you are planning to watch the session on the same device.
