We have added a 'Sort By' option so you can choose whether to view the most recently seen records (record date) or those most recently submitted to NatureSpot (submitted date). Currently the default is 'submitted date' but by popular demand this will be changed to 'record date'.

We have also fixed a bug in the system so that all images submitted with a record will now appear together, rather than being dispersed.

I like to browse the new images on Naturespot each day so I'll probably stick with sorting by 'Submitted date'.  However, I believe the images only appear after they have been verified.  Does that mean that, if a record takes longer to verify, its images will never appear on page 1 of "Latest images" but be slotted in at the appropriate place further down the list?  It's not necessarily a problem -- I might just have to browse a bit further -- but sorting by 'Verified date' would be the ideal option for me if it's possible.

P.S. I'm very pleased that all the images from one record now appear together!

I agree with Peter. A verified on date option would be useful. The other two options would never show up the more difficult/interesting species people have submitted where the expert have taken a while to verify it. These records are the most likely to perk my interest and entice me to click on them to learn more.

    All the best

A few have requested this so we will try to get it added as a third option.

We have now added the verified on date to the Latest Images page and in fact made this the default setting. For technical reasons we have used the published date but as images are automatically published once they are verified it amounts to the same thing. Enjoy!
