    Mobile App

You can now use a mobile app on your phone or tablet to submit records to NatureSpot. More...

NatureSpot is part of the national iRecord system so we are using the established and well-used iRecord app rather than building our own. These instructions explain how you can set up the iRecord app to direct your records to NatureSpot: https://www.naturespot.org.uk/app

The iRecord App is available for both Apple and Android phones and can be used to submit records to NatureSpot from your mobile phone or tablet. Please note, you need to search for iRecord in the app store not for NatureSpot - you can submit your VC55 records to NatureSpot from within the iRecord app. It's important to set the app up with the NatureSpot Activity selected the first time you use it but after that you'll just be able to take your phone out of your pocket and send us a record (with photos please!) wherever you are.

Of course, you don't have to use the app if you don't want to - the NatureSpot website isn't going away. However, so far in 2020, 68% of the traffic to NatureSpot has been from mobile phones and tablets and only 32% from desktop computers and laptops. In our continuing efforts to improve NatureSpot, we try to give our users what they want. Please let us know how the mobile app is for you.
