I'd like to say a big thank you to all the verifiers for your work reviewing our records, correcting our errors and puzzling over our poor photos and half-guessed identifications.

I reckon that about 2000 verified photographs have been added to the Latest Images on Naturespot in the past few days, beside all the records without images that must have been processed too.  That represents an enormous amount of time, which I'm sure you would rather have spent sorting out your own records or collecting new ones.

I'm grateful for the effort you put in, which continually adds to my interest and knowledge of nature, and I'm sure the other amateur recorders feel the same.

Peter, that is very kind! I'm sure the others are with me in saying that we enjoy doing it (to an extent!) and are just glad to add more and more records and species to VC55. Those out and about getting records are equally important - without dedicated naturalists making the effort to take biological records then none of this would be possible and it is an incredibly important device for conservation and better understanding of the natural world!
