Hi. Any advice on identifying these would be great. They are in groups on Pines in a garden centre. Just by looking at pics they appear like Neodiprion lecontei.

Thanks

Yes they certainly look right to me.  I'll set up a page on NatureSpot as this will be a new species for us.

Thanks for that.

Pleases how do I go about recording it if it's not in the database, ie I can't input the species? should I go to some non-native recording scheme?

Just bear with us for a day or so on this, we are in the process of setting up the new species and the species name will then appear on the drop down menu. I apologise for this - we do have a system for adding new species were the page has not been set up but it is not functioning as it should at present.  I'll post a further comment when the set up for this species is complete.

I'm pleased to say that a NatureSpot species page has now been set up for Neodiprion lecontei, and the name now appears on the drop down menu on the 'Submit Record' page.
