From childhood, Adrian has always been fascinated by canals and waterways. When he grew up he got his “dream job” managing the waterways through Leicester. This 8 mile corridor contained the usual suspects of “plants in the wrong places”. However the arrival of one in particular required a different approach. He ended up managing a team, selling the importance of the aquatic environment to a wider audience. He reluctantly left this job a couple of years ago, but that has allowed him more time to tell some of the fascinating stories of Leicester’s Riverside.
