Annie was a keen and enthusiastic naturalist in Leicestershire and Rutland with a special interest in beetles. She was an active contributor to NatureSpot and helped with beetle verification. She was rapidly becoming an expert in this field but also had wide-ranging natural history  interests and skills. She discovered numerous rare species locally and was well-known to many Leicestershire natural history groups. She also volunteered regularly at Charnwood Lodge nature reserve and was a founder member of the recording group there. Her bubbly personality engaged all who knew her and she will be very much missed.
