Free places are available to Leicestershire residents. Learn to identify all of the common shrubs found in Leicestershire hedges. An illustrated key will be provided and you will learn how to use it. You will also be given an introduction to hedge management and the best techniques to maximise the benefit to wildlife. This will include guidance on conducting a simple hedgerow survey.

Site-based meeting: Sunday 15th May, 2-4pm Ratby

Online introduction: 7.30pm Tuesday 3rd May (will also be recorded and the link circulated)

The course is being offered by NatureSpot on behalf of Leicestershire County Council and will be led by Russell Parry and David Nicholls.
