All of us at NatureSpot are thrilled to learn of Graham's nomination for the NBN Lifetime Achievement Award. Over many decades his dedication to understanding and recording the natural world has inspired countless individuals, not least when 15 years ago, he was instrumental in setting up NatureSpot with David Nicholls. At NatureSpot we like to joke about "The Sapcote Effect" - the inevitability that there will be a record for almost any species you care to name within a few miles of Graham's home. However, his contribution to recording, conservation, and education have had a profound impact on our County and has inspired countless individuals. In the final he faces very stiff competition from some of the best naturalists in the country, but over many decades Graham has earned his place in this exalted company. We are delighted that he has received this well-deserved recognition for his exceptional efforts.
