The larvae of the fly Agromyza flaviceps mine the leaves of Hop (Humulus lupulus) creating a long upper surface gallery widening towards the end and with greenish, diffused frass.
Where Hops are found.
Bivoltine: early summer and autumn.
Pupation occurs outside the mine.
Widespread in England and North Wales.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
