Amara eurynota
Length about 9 to 11.5 mm. This is a brassy bronze green beetle. There are several other similarly coloured species, which are a very difficult group to identify, although Amara eurynota is the largest.
Usually found in dry habitats.
All year round.
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Infrequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were only 10 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
