Amethyst Deceiver - Laccaria amethystina

    This colourful fungus has a distinctive purple/lilac colour; both cap and stem the same. The cap grows up to 6cm across.

    Identification difficulty

    It is found in both coniferous and deciduous woodland, often with Beech.
