Bembidion lampros


    A small (3-4mm) beetle. It is very shiny, normally brassy, with reddish brown legs. Elytra with less than 7 strya. 

    Identification difficulty

    It frequents most dry habitats, including gardens and agricultural land.

    Very common throughout Britain

    Common in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 213 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
