    Identification difficulty

    Often associated with shingle areas, but not exclusively so.

    When to see it

    All year round.

    UK Status

    Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain, but with fewer records from the south east.

    VC55 Status

    Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 33 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
