Fleshy, cup shaped fungus, inner surface smooth, white then yellow-brown, outer surface white, then yellow-brown, scurfy, and growing to10 cm across.
Dung heaps, well manured ground and rotting straw
All year round
Widespread in Britain and quite common in specific farm or garden habitat.
Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland.
