Bloodred Webcap - Cortinarius sanguineus
Description
Cap is blood red up to 2 inches across and scurfy, the gills are similarly coloured. The stem is also red coloured but more orange towards the base.

Growing under conifers and broadleaved trees.
When to see it
Autumn.
UK Status
Widespread in Britain but not particularly common.

Occasional in Leicestershire and Rutland.
