Description

Size: 4 to 5 mm. Prasocuris junci is a very dark metallic blue or occasionally dark green beetle.

Late March to early September.

Life History

Prasocuris junci grazes on leaf of Veronica beccabunga and Water-speedwells.

UK Status

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

VC55 Status

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were approximately 28 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
