Cartilage Lichen - Ramalina farinacea
Description
This is a silvery grey-green lichen with flattened, narrow branches (up to 3mm wide) and up to 7cm long, all arising from a compact holdfast.
Similar Species
Most commonly confused with Evernia prunastri but this species has as a two-tone colour, being paler on the underside than the upper side, wheras Ramalina is the same on both sides.
