Clover Leaf Weevil - Hypera postica
Length 3 to 5.5 mm. The adult is light brown with a distinctive dark stripe along the back.
Where clovers are present, often on sparsely vegetated ground.
Found throughout the year with a peak in spring and summer.
Widespread and fairly frequent in England and Wales.
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were approximately 27 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
