The rust fungus Coleosporium tussilaginis produces tubules containing rust spores on pine needles and later rust pustules on the leaves of Colts-foot, Butterbur and Groundsel species.
Where the host species occur.
Best seen on the underside of Colts-foot leaves when that plant is in leaf.
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
