One of several similar green lacewings. Identifying features: 2nd antennal segment green; black spot at base antennae; black marked ventral surface (underside).

Summer to autumn.
Widespread in much of England and Wales, but with less records from the northern half of Britain.
There are few records for this species from Leicestershire and Rutland, but it may be under recorded due to the difficulty of identification.
