Ecnomus tenellus
Length 4 to 6 mm. A fairly small caddis with a mottled brown appearance and wings slightly marked with darker blotches. Front tibia 3 spurred.
Around still or slow moving water, but also attracted to light.
June to September.
Larvae associated with freshwater sponges.
Scattered records mostly from southern England the Midlands and southern Wales.
Occasional or under recorded in VC55 - The first VC55 records for this species were from Loughborough in 2009 and then the 2011 records from Sapcote.
