    This is a small, greyish Dance Fly. The female is quite chubby looking.

    Sometimes seen in groups of up to 30.

    UK Status

    Widespread but not particularly common in England and Wales, fewer records from Scotland.

    Fairly frequent but not really common in Leicestershire and Rutland.
