Fairy Ring Champignon - Marasmius oreades
Cap: 1 to 5 cm wide, at first bell-shaped with incurved cap edge, becoming convex to almost plane with broad knob; dry, smooth, usually buff to tan, sometimes white to reddish - brown. Gills attached; wide-spaced from one another; broad; white to pale brown.
Lawns and short grass in groups or rings.
Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
