Fools Funnel - Clitocybe rivulosa


    A small white or white and buff coloured mushroom, the 3 to 4 cm diameter cap is funnel-shaped with decurrent crowded white gills, with specks of pink. The fibrous stipe is up to 4 cm tall and bears no ring.

    Identification difficulty

    In sandy soil amongst grass, often on path edges or roadsides.

    When to see it

    Late summer and autumn.

    Often found in groups or rings.
