Hypogastrura manubrialis

Description

Approximately 1mm in length, dark in colour. Each tibiotarsus only has one clavate tenant seta and the empodium of the foot tapers gradually and does not possess a lamella. The mucro is distinctively long and pointed.

Habitat

Most records are from compost and rich organic matter. In VC55 it has been observed grazing on lichens in wet weather.
