Magdalis cerasi
2.4 to 4.2 mm, entirely black, appears dull due to strong puncturation and microsculpture. Head dull; microsculpture strong and without puncturation. Eyes convex, discontinuous with outline of head.

Widespread though very local throughout the south and the midlands. This species is possible increasing its range and becoming more frequent.
Uncommon, possibly under recorded.
