Description
Quite a distinctive dark weevil with a white streaky appearance and an inverted V behind the pronotum.

Habitat
Most likely to be found in areas where Echium species such as Viper's Bugloss are present.
When to see it
Peak time is summer to early autumn.
Life History
Associated with Echium species such as Viper's bugloss.
UK Status
Recorded mainly from southern and eastern England.
VC55 Status
Very local in Leicestershire and Rutland and restricted by the presence of its food plants. Not recorded in neighbouring Warwickshire as at June 2014. There were only 4 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
