Oxytelus laqueatus


A small rove beetle with short light brown wing cases. It is only about 4 or 5 mm long.

Found in the dung of herbivores.

All year round especially in spring and summer.

UK Status

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

VC55 Status

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland. There were a total of 45 VC55 records for this species up to March 2015.
