Perch are greenish with red pelvic, anal and caudal fins. They have five to nine dark vertical bars on their sides.

Widespread and common in Britain.
VC55 Status
Common in Leicestershire and Rutland. Found in larger rivers (including the western Sence, Soar, Wreake), also canals (notably the Grand Union) and lakes.
