Puccinia lapsanae is a gall fungus affecting Nipplewort (Lapsana communis), particularly very young plants. Both the leaf blades and petioles may become grossly distorted, with both sides having reddish purple blisters.
Wherever Nipplewort (Lapsana communis) occurs.
When Nipplewort is in leaf.
It is widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
