Small Stagshorn - Calocera cornea

    Description

    The yellow, tapering, fingerlike fruitbodies are somewhat gelatinous in texture. They reach up to 3 mm in diameter, and 2 cm in height, though often less.

    Grows on decaying wood of broadleaf trees.

    Fairly common and widespread throughout although easily overlooked because of its small size and preference for damp shady places.
