Snapping Bonnet - Mycena vitilis
The cap is 2 to 3 cm, yellow brown or grey brown with whitish gills. The stem is tougher than it appears and is white with a slightly greasy feel.
It grows on the ground among leaves in damp places.
Fairly common and widespread in Britain.
Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
