One of several similar species. Check for sinuous A2 vein and extra cross-vein in radial sector.

Likely to be encountered in damp places such as marshes, in leaf litter and in wet spots in woods.
April to September.
Widespread in England and Wales, also found in Scotland.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
