Tenthredo omissa
Length 9-11mm. The abdomen has yellow bands which do not broaden laterally. Hind tarsi and apex of hind tibia reddish brown. Antennae black apart from yellow baseal segment. Head densely punctured. Tegulae black.

Fens and marshy areas. The adults feed from umbellifers.
July to September.
The larvae feed on plantains.
A local species now spreading from its stronghold in the east anglian fens to similar habitats elsewhere.
The record of 15th August 2020 is the first for VC55.
