Description

Phlebia radiata is an orange to pink crust fungus.

Identification difficulty
Habitat

It spreads itself across the dead wood of hardwoods and conifers and is usually found in well wooded areas.

When to see it

All year, but best in autumn.

Life History

Causes a white rot.

UK Status

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.

VC55 Status

Fairly frequent in Leicestershire and Rutland.
