Zebra Rush - Scirpus zebrinus
Zebra Rush grows to about 3 feet in height. It has striking green and creamy white horizontally banded stems which turn orange brown in the Autumn.
Pond and stream margins. It is another water plant that has been introduced into the wild by people throwing out plants from garden ponds.
Summer and autumn.
Ocassional in Britain as an established introduction or escape from garden ponds.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
